Vineyard Christian Home School Co-op
Vineyard Christian Home School Co-op is an important part of Family Ministries at Vineyard Boise. We currently have classes for students from Pre-K through 11th grade. We are currently taking registrations for our 09-10 school year for Pre-K through 12th grade!
Our vision is to help families who want to home-school their kids. We come alongside them and support their home-schooling efforts.
Our academic, Bible-based curriculum teaches kids to think for themselves while growing spiritually and morally. The teachers develop weekly lesson plans and learning objectives; all empowering parents to be the primary teachers at home. In our school, students spend Monday, Wednesday and Friday learning at home and Tuesday and Thursday attending school at Vineyard Boise's Ezra Family Center.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays we provide a classroom environment where students can engage in group and hands-on activities - science projects, field trips, craft projects & spelling bees to name a few. The school also gives parents opportunities to get their kids involved in extra activities like art, chess club, drama, computers and athletics. We also provide a venue for yearly standardized testing.
Parents are encouraged to be involved in the classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In fact there is a volunteer requirement that must be filled where parents can volunteer to be lunch monitor, help with sports, drive for field trips, help in the classroom or help in special school projects.
Vineyard Home School Co-op is not for everybody, but if your desire is to home-school with a little help, this might be just the program you’ve been looking for.
