Journey of the Cross 2014

Journey of the Cross is Vineyard Boise’s week long contemplative Easter experience as we remember the soul saving sacrifice Christ made for us, and the transformation that awaits those who believe in His history altering resurrection.

Palm Sunday – April 13th
Service times: 9:00am & 11:00am
Location: Vineyard Boise Sanctuary

Worship, an opening message by Pastor Trevor Estes, and a ten minute dramatic monologue by “Mary Magdalene” as she recounts her deliverance from demonic possession, and shares with us the mixed emotions of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Passover week.

The Last Supper (Thursday) – April 17th
Service time: 7:00pm
Location: Vineyard Boise Sanctuary and Garden O’ Feedin’

Acoustic worship and two dramatic presentations, as we meet “James” and “John”, the sons of Zebedee, who recall Jesus’ last Passover, and “Simon Peter”, who remembers the painful and fateful night of Judas’ betrayal and Peter’s own denial of Jesus.

Good Friday – April 18th
Service time: 6:00pm
Location: Old Idaho Penitentiary and Table Rock

A dramatic remembrance of Jesus’ trial and execution, told by “Pilate”, his wife “Claudia”, and “Mary Magdalene”, followed by a prayerfully paced walk up Table Rock, where contemplative worship and corporate prayer closes the evening.

Easter Sunday – April 20th
Service times: 8:30am, 10:00am, 11:30am
Location: Vineyard Boise Sanctuary

Worship, a video recap of the week’s events, a closing ten minute dramatic monologue by “Mary Magdalene” as she tells us the Good News of Jesus’ resurrection, and a closing message by Pastor Trevor Estes.

Join us on the journey! Journey of the Cross, April 13th, 17th, 18th and 20th.
