Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS VBC?
Vineyard Boise Connect, or VB Connect for short, is an e-mail and online-based network that allows us as a church fellowship to have regular and accurate communication between ministries, small groups, classes, and the larger congregation.
HOW DO I USE VBC?
A great way to learn VB Connect is to login and spend some time browsing around and checking out all the features.
WHO HAS ACCESS TO VBC?
Anyone can request to receive a login to VB Connect. The basic level of access will allow you to update your contact information, register for events, manage your volunteer schedule, find a group to join and more. The information you enter is automatically set as private so no one else can view your contact information. In fact, we ask that you click “Update Privacy” so that “Everybody” or “Friends & My Group Members” can see you. See the Basic User Walkthrough in the tutorials for information on how to control your privacy settings.
HOW SECURE IS VBC?
Church Community Builder, the maker of VB Connect, works hard at making sure that all of your data is secure. VB Connect lets you control what information you make available to other users of the online community. While it is encouraged to make more of your information available to other members of Vineyard Boise for building our church community, you are able to opt out of the online directory completely or determine what information in your profile is visible to specific sets of people.
WHY SHOULD I USE VBC?
In addition to having access to all of your church information, VBC gives you access to the church-wide calendar, allows you to share prayer requests, and get plugged in to a small group that is perfect for you. From time to time, we’ll be posting online surveys asking for input on future class offerings, church activities, and ministry opportunities. When you get these kinds of emails, please use the link to let us know what you think.
